This Tuesday is great for two reasons:

Ryan Adams' Easy Tiger is released today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You'd think I had it already, but, unfortunately, I'm waiting to buy it in the store after work. Review is obviously forthcoming. Ryan is also playing live at Hiro Ballroom tonight, but tickets went on sale about two days ago and sold out in five seconds. I'm still STOKED on this album, however. At least I'll have some sort of motivation to get through the work day!!

Motion City Soundtrack's digital single, "Broken Heart" is available for download!! Motion City has always impressed me since first seeing them live years ago, and they never disappoint. I think it's amazing. It gives me goosebumps. I'm a bit of a Ryan Adams maniac, if you didn't know. I'm ecstatic for this album. I know there's a lot of bootlegs floating around the internets, but I just have to wait for June 26th and take it in all at once. And then over and over and over again...

It's a special breed of domestic cat made to have tiger stripes. It's probably thousands of dollars, but...I'm obsessed. OBSESSED. I've been missing animals lately. I haven't held a cat in forever. I want to go to pet stores just to pet cats. However, most pet stores I see in the city only have dogs. So I've been checking out toygers pretty much on a daily basis. Also cute? Fantastic weekend.

Last week was full of the day job and then writing at night. I didn't go out much.

Thursday night met up with the girls at the Continental for some drinks. Permanent Me invited us to their hotel room so we swung by at midnight and chilled. There were Miller Lites and conversations regarding Teen Bop magazine.

Friday night was the Permanent Me/Girls Like Boys/Cobra Starship/Cartel show @ the Nokia Theater. For some reason, ever since I moved to New York, my sense of direction has gone berserk. Erica saves me all the time - I'd never been to Nokia and we're walking in Times Square and I'm like, "well, it's probably on the right side of the street..." and just start marching across and Erica is yelling at me to STOP and she points up and there's all these flashing lights and huge signs to our left that say "Nokia" and whatnot. My weekend turned into four days...five nights. What?!

Friday night. Erica, Rachel and I hit up Ruff Club @ the Annex to dance it up to DJ Rob Hitt. We were soon met with Christy and Jiscilla, plus the legendary Team Couch (aka Justin, Tyler, Nick, Pete and Megan) and the real dance party began. [Sidenote: Some of the Team Couch boys are in a band called Farewell to Arms, and if you like Glassjaw and screaming, you might like them. First and foremost, Gwen Stefani released a video for my favorite song on her latest album, and it's adorable and vomits gold at your face. But. I love it. I even appreciate Akon, as my roommate has become fully obsessed with him.   Fuck! My roommate Rachel saw Ewan MacGregor stroll into Barnes & Noble the other morning in dark denim and converse. This happening a week after Kelly and I had a conversation about who we'd be the most starstruck by (male) and both decided Ewan MacGregor was probably tops. Though, after last week's SNL, is there anything at all wrong with Justin Timberlake? Sure, he was in NSync, but that's not THAT bad...it wasn't the Backstreet Boys. Anyway, I'm super jealous of Rachel and wish I could bump into dream boys at my job.

I still can't get Ryan Adams out of my head since his show on Monday. The good and bad thing about Ryan is that he has five million songs. This makes it very hard to keep up with him, but it's also great to have all of his music and enjoy an album I haven't listened to yet. I set my own release dates. I still can't get his Monday night performance out of my head...I'm in awe of that man. Also, I've never really had a crush on Ryan, but since seeing his hands live...um, yes. This morning I decided to listen to Love is Hell 1 & 2 because he ended his set with a rocked-out "I See Monsters." The two EPs were written soon after his girlfriend of the time died of cancer, so much of the songs are brooding and sad. Apparently his label thought they were too moody…
