What better to bring me back to this journal than Bamboozle? Plus, I finally have a bit of time to waste at work, and this weekend ruled my life. Might as well tell you about it. I did last year.
 
On Friday night I was going to head out to that new buzzed-up-the-ass place Angels&Kings (aka the Crush Bar) for the return of the Stolen Transmission party (Ultragrrrl&KarenPlusOne's dj sets always rock this body!) but LeBoy had me itching to see him in New Jersey. He'd been gone a while, see.

I need this L.A.M.B. watch:     However, it's $325. I think I'm going to start saving.   Also, I want one of these:     That is a toyger. It's a special breed of domestic cat made to have tiger stripes. It's probably thousands of dollars, but...I'm obsessed. OBSESSED. I've been missing animals lately. I haven't held a cat in forever. I want to go to pet stores just to pet cats. However, most pet stores I see in the city only have dogs. So I've been checking out toygers pretty much on a daily basis. Also cute? Bengal kittens.     OMFG how cuted out are you right now?! I'm writing at work (shhh) and I'm silently flipping out at all these cat pictures. Can I has katz now?!?!?!??!

This morning I woke up at 450 AM to get ready for "my segment" (hahaha). NBC sent a car to come pick me up in Brooklyn (holler) and I was at the studio by 545. As soon as I got there and took off my coat they whisked me into a makeup chair. TV makeup is put on by the pound!
 
[Sidenote: I'm wearing it still today at work...and I'll probably wear it out tonight because there's no way I get my makeup and hair did and just sit around the apartment...]
 
In the middle of my makeup sesh we had to break for a studio rehearsal. The segment producer, Lindsay (who's absolute adorable), and Stacy London picked me to go first. They said the first person to go on has to have the most energy... I was the shyest of the bunch (which included a bonefied model/actress...who dates the Dell…

I still can't get Ryan Adams out of my head since his show on Monday. The good and bad thing about Ryan is that he has five million songs. This makes it very hard to keep up with him, but it's also great to have all of his music and enjoy an album I haven't listened to yet. I set my own release dates. I still can't get his Monday night performance out of my head...I'm in awe of that man. Also, I've never really had a crush on Ryan, but since seeing his hands live...um, yes. This morning I decided to listen to Love is Hell 1 & 2 because he ended his set with a rocked-out "I See Monsters." The two EPs were written soon after his girlfriend of the time died of cancer, so much of the songs are brooding and sad. Apparently his label thought they were too moody…
