April 15, 2007All I need is to make it all right... [04.16.07]
Quick entry about things I'm currently obsessed with...
1. PEEPS & this contest: ![]() Lloyd Dobbler in PEEP form?! 2. Gwen Stefani's on the latest cover of Bazaar. The photoshoot has a My Fair Lady theme, one of my fave musicals...and she looks gorgeous. But when does she not? ![]() 3. Ryan Adams. Because it always comes back to him. ALWAYS. I phase through a lot of stuff in my life - but I'm constantly obsessed with this man's music. Maybe it's because there's so damn much of it. It's the beauty of perpetual discovery. Right now I'm loving "Dance All Night" and "Monday Night." ![]() 4. Spring cleaning. I ravaged my room. I filtered my clothes. I found pieces of clothing I forgot existed. It's amazing. I also found some awesome stuff I though I had lost forever. Yeah! 5. This next week. Woah! I finally got my first paychecks on Friday, so it's spendin' time. Haircuts! Eating out! Shopping! I just want to buy nice things for a change. 6. These people. They get me through the work day! ![]() 7. Like stated in my previous entry, I'm pretty fucking stoked for MAY.

April 11, 2007Try it for sleeping instead... [04.10.07]I need this L.A.M.B. watch:
However, it's $325. I think I'm going to start saving.
Also, I want one of these:
![]() That is a toyger.
It's a special breed of domestic cat made to have tiger stripes. It's
probably thousands of dollars, but...I'm obsessed. OBSESSED. I've been
missing animals lately. I haven't held a cat in forever. I want to go
to pet stores just to pet cats. However, most pet stores I see in the
city only have dogs. So I've been checking out toygers pretty much on a
daily basis. Also cute? Bengal kittens.
![]() OMFG how cuted out are you right now?! I'm writing at work (shhh) and I'm silently flipping out at all these cat pictures. Can I has katz now?!?!?!??!
Also, I might need this shirt: ![]() I was kind of obsessed with 90210 - the early years. AND DYLAN. In other news, I found a website with sheet music for Ryan Adams
songs. And I'm totally unburying my keyboard from my parent's basement
and at least learning "Come Pick Me Up." I don't know why. I don't know
what use it would be of to me, but maybe, someday, I'll understand why
I must do this.
I've been wasting a lot of time today at work.
I'm stoked for the month of May. I think it's going to be rather great. Here are some reasons why:
1. May 3rd means everything is all right fucking awesome.
2. Bamboozle
is already shaping up to be legendary, even if just for the people
watching I so love to partake in with my best girls. There are great
bands playing [woah Muse what?!] and awful bands [Cute is What We Aim
For BARF] and a bunch of secret-name bands [Great American Freedom
Machine?!] to whet my curiosity. More amazing than the barrage of
crappy bands that are playing are the people who come to SEE those
crappy bands. Those audiences are tasty trash-talking buffets. In a
similar example: last year Erica and I spotted a boy in a Mest shirt.
Really? Mest? SERIOUSLY?
3. There will be making out. 4. Monty Are I show @ the Knitting Factory. Holler! Haven't seen
those kids since January, so I'm stoked for another one of their
fantastic live shows. Who's coming with me? [Edit: Okay, I just
remembered that Monty Are I is playing at Bamboozle - so I will see
them there too. Double stoked oreos!]
5. Many events have been planned for the Curbside Gang. Not that you're invited.
6. Getting to see my friends before work. And so starts the
outdoor summer concerts for the Today show. Just a few blocks from my
work, I can check out bands like All-American Rejects at 8 am before
work with my girls and then head to the cube. Um, chyeah.
7. Making out. 8. THREE DAY WEEKEND! My parents 25th Anniversary vow renewal-slash-reception-slash
9. The fact that it's April 11th and I've got a working itinerary for May? That means May will be out of this world. FACT.
10. Maybe it will actually get warm. And I can make out some more.
11. WALLZ ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! My paycheck equals solitude and privacy. 12. It's the month before Ryan Adams new album comes out. Oh shit. OH. SHIT. Easy Tiger. 06.26.07. ![]() Tonight I'm dancing it up with my girls @ Sutra. Last night I went to bed passed out at 10 pm. But what more could entice me than an open bar, good peoples, and good music?

April 5, 2007C! C is for seeing through you! [04.05.07]I know, I know...it's been a while. Not that I expect anyone to care, but for posterity's sake, I might as well update so one day I can look back at these blogs and laugh heartily at my silly need to post the inane details of my life on the internet. I can't really begin to catch anybody up on what's going on in my life, suffice to say that my life since February 17th (my last real update) has changed in a few ways. I'm incredibly happy. Some of the highlights from the past month - - I'm a shadow extra in the latest Cartel music video ! Check them out if you haven't already...I pretty much know everybody's gonna know them and their name by the end of this year. - I met a boy and we hung out. And I told him I liked him one night. He took me on the most amazing first date ever. - One of my BEST FRIENDS EVER Amber came to visit. FINALLY. It'd been two years since I saw her face. And when I saw it, you know what I did? I punched her. - Kelly's birthday, which is always legendary, was once again celebrated with sophistication and quiet aplomb...at a bar, completely wasted, with five girls who talked about unicorns all night, and then at another bar...that smelled like pee...and there was Akon & dancing on tables...what? - My mom and dad celebrated their 25th year together. They're like crazy happy and it's cute and downright sickening at the same time. - Apartment 410 had about 8 million visitors in the months of February and March. No joke. I think at one point we had 10 people in our place. - I got a freakin' awesome new job. YES. - I've always hated The Format. Seriously. Hate. They opened for a bunch of cool bands and freakin' sucked. Then that boy I've been hanging out with put a song of theirs on a playlist for me...and then I got the album...and now I really like them. Things change. - I'm still dancing it up every chance I get. Obviously. - My boyfriend commemorated our first date with an even better date one month later. And then he took me to Philadelphia because I'd never been. We make our friends vomit and strangers gag when seen together. - Still superheroes. - There have been some legendary nights at Alligator Lounge, Private Men's Club, Revolver, and High Voltage in the past month. - Jesse and I discovered TOYGERS. And I want one. - Apartment 410 began the Game Night tradition this week. Board games. Sorry, Uno, Scattegories, Clue. We're dorks and we LOVE IT. We invited others to witness our perpetual nerdiness. - I've not had time to watch tv. I know, right? ME. Or be in on the celeb gossip much anymore. I know, right? ME. Even my interwebz lurking time is at an all-time low. I may or may not choose to catch up. Everything's kind of hectic right now. I'm completely lacking sleep as well. - There haven't been any trainwreck nights! Then lots of other stuff happened. That's your debriefing. Honestly, I'm surprised to be where I am right now. If you had told me a year ago...nay, two months ago...what it'd be like now - I would be shocked. I hope to update more regularly...but I'm not making any promises. In case I don't, I can say that my future plans include kicking ass at my job, getting a haircut, practicing to prepare vegetarian meals, visiting my parents this Easter weekend, hanging out with the Curbside Gang, dancing a lot, getting used to video chat, and shopping. Lots of shopping in my future. And walls!
